For the past four years, Dylan has served as an outreach volunteer and Center ambassador of the Kansas City Center for Inclusion (KCCI); he is elated to continue his support for the LGBTQIA+ community at KCCI in his second term as a 2020 board director. He hopes that his background in health care, specifically nursing, will provide a unique lens to view and address the needs of the queer community. Currently, Dylan works as a clinical progressive care nurse at The University of Kansas Health System as well as a clinical faculty member for undergraduate nursing students at the University of Kansas Medical Center. In the summer 2020 semester, he will begin his fourth year of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program, studying to become a family nurse practitioner at the University of Kansas School of Nursing. Upon graduation, Dylan hopes to practice in a healthcare setting that aims to alleviate the health inequities that impact the queer community. Dylan looks forward to advancing the mission of KCCI through meaningful collaborations, thoughtful discussions, and intentional endeavors.
