Dylan has served the Kansas City Center for Inclusion as an outreach volunteer and ambassador since 2016; they began their role as a KCCI board director in 2019. They hope that their background in nursing will provide a uniquely valuable perspective in addressing the social inequities and health disparities disproportionately affecting the LGBTQIA+ community. Currently, Dylan works as clinical faculty for undergraduate nursing students at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Additionally, they are completing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certificate program at the University of Kansas School of Nursing, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2022. As an openly gay, future nurse practitioner, Dylan aspires to give back to the queer community by specializing in transgender, nonbinary, and gender expansive medicine and nursing care
