Past President

Keaton Vaughn (they/them) is the board president of KCCI. They reside in Overland Park with their wife Sarah, two cats, and corgi. They hold an MBA with an emphasis in HR from Pittsburg State University and are employed as an HR professional. In addition to their work with KCCI, they also serve on the board of Equality Kansas Metro KC and volunteer as a Big through Big Brothers Big Sisters.

They became active with KCCI a few years ago when they were coming out as non-binary and transgender and seeking support. Thankfully, they found Equal Trans Support Group, and a second home at the center! They are extremely passionate about helping other trans folx access the resources they need to thrive and live their authentic lives.

Some of Keaton’s favorite programs at KCCI include the binder exchange program and the gender affirmation surgery grants. Keaton had gender affirming surgery and knows first hand how life-changing it is. They want anyone seeking gender affirming care to have access to it.
