Hear Me Out Toastmasters Final Event
December 9 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Hear Me Out Toastmasters is celebrating its twelve years of providing personal and professional communication and leadership skills development in Kansas City’s LGBTQSA community with one final event. They have sought to elevate the conversation about leadership as key to the forward momentum of the LGBT community as we continue to gain equality. Since the group founded in 2005, we as community have seen the repeal of ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’, expanded efforts to understand and embrace our Transgender sisters and brothers, the launch of ‘It Gets Better’, and the legal right in every state to say “I Do”.
Founded in 2005 as a member club of Toastmasters International, Hear Me Out Toastmasters provides a mutually supportive and positive learning environment for the LGBTQSA community in Kansas City, one in which every individual member has the opportunity to develop verbal communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth. Of more than 15,000 Toastmasters clubs worldwide, Hear Me Out has served as one of fewer than twenty founded with a focus on the LGBTQSA community.
As with every meeting since its charter, visitors are welcome. Special guests will include former members of Hear Me Out and other Toastmasters groups across the Midwest. Refreshments will be provided. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
