Moving Announcement!

The Kansas City Center for Inclusion is MOVING! We are saying goodbye to our 3911 Main Street location and saying hello to a bigger and brighter future just a few blocks away. Starting June 1st, 2021 you can visit the Kansas City Center for Inclusion at its new home of 3740 Broadway Boulevard.

Some of you might be very familiar with this particular address as it is just down the street from KC Care Clinic and Hamburger Mary’s. Oh, and it just so happens to be on top of Woody’s KC! That’s right, the Kansas City Center for Inclusion, the region’s LGBTQIA Community Resource Center, will be housed just above a staple, inclusive, LGBTQ+ affirming space by occupying the second and third floors! Do you know what this means!? There is a three story building in Midtown Kansas City covered in LGBTQIA Pride from top to bottom!

We couldn’t be more excited to take this giant leap forward. Our new home will be roughly double the size of our current home with about triple the number of congregation spaces, as well as a full kitchen and outdoor deck that overlooks the Boulevard. This decision was made for a multitude of reasons, but none more important than attempting to expand our space, services, and move closer to other LGBTQIA serving organizations and businesses. Although Covid-19 might be affecting our ability to party during Pride season it doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate this June.

This move is just one step on the path to equity and progress for LGBTQIA Kansas City, and we are prepping for a marathon rather than a sprint. There will be work to be done, but this new home will be seen by the Kansas City Center for Inclusion as an investment toward permanence in our region. We hope you will join us as we work to make this new space an affirming place for all LGBTQIA people in the region.

So what are our next steps!? We need your help!!! We have PLENTY of opportunities to volunteer! From helping to move current Center furniture and supplies to the new space, to helping renovate our new home to be filled with PRIDE and if you can’t volunteer, know that monetary donations will help us take over this space and renovate it with a brand new kitchen, flooring, paint, and outdoor furniture!

Please consider donating to the Center for our next big step and sign up to volunteer to help make this new home a beacon of Pride for all! Email Info@inclusivekc.org for further details!
