Events & Live Music

Taste of Ethiopia hosts regular live music and community events throughout the year — Ethiopian and Eritrean artists touring through Michigan, holiday celebrations, traditional dance nights, and Ethiopian New Year (Enkutatash) every September.

Live Music Nights

We host visiting musicians from the Ethiopian diaspora several times a year — including past appearances by singer Fikru Yelekal, whose return visits have become something of a tradition. Music nights typically include a full dinner service, traditional dance, and the singer's own performance set. Tickets are sold via the restaurant directly; reservations are essential.
